Your benefits package is a valuable part of your total compensation, providing protection for you and your family. Following is a brief summary of the choices available to all eligible regular, full-time employees or qualified part-time employees.

Health Benefits
Your medical choices are designed to provide broad, comprehensive protection. The agency currently offers coverage options with Neighborhood Health Plan and Fallon Community Health Plan.
Dental Benefits
Delta Dental coverage for both you and your family is offered through a MCHSP negotiated contract.
Cafeteria Plan Accounts
Cafeteria plan accounts offer an opportunity to use tax-free dollars to pay eligible expenses. Contributions made to your account are withheld pre-tax. We offer the following cafeteria plan account options:
- Medical reimbursement account
- Dependent care reimbursement account
- MBTA
Medical Reimbursement Account
This account can be used to pay items not covered by medical insurance. Co-payments for doctor visits, prescriptions and over the counter drugs are just a few of the items eligible for this pre-tax account.
Dependent Care Reimbursement Account
Child day care or other dependent care can be paid through this pre-tax option.
MBTA
Purchasing bus, subway and commuter rail passes have never been easier with this payroll deducted option.
Long-Term Disability
The long-term disability (LTD) plan provides continuing income when an illness or injury prevents you from working for an extended period of time. LTD benefits offer financial protection after salary continuance and short-term disability benefits provided by the company are exhausted.
Life Insurance Benefits
Life insurance offers an important source of financial protection. We provide basic life and AD&D coverage at no cost to you. You decide if you want additional life and AD&D coverage for yourself, your spouse, and your dependents. Smaller insurance policies for spouses and children are part of this benefit.
Supplemental Life Insurance
You may elect to purchase additional life insurance for yourself and you may then elect to purchase life insurance for your spouse and your dependents.
Retirement Plan
All employees meeting minimum eligibility requirements can participate in our retirement plan.
- Your pre-tax contributions
All newly hired eligible employees are automatically enrolled. You may change your contribution from zero up to the limits set forth by the IRS. Your pre-tax contributions are made through payroll deduction each pay period. - Employers match
The employers match is available to those employees who complete one year of service. CFCS will make a 5% contribution. An additional contribution of up to 2% will be made to match employee contributions. - Employers contribution vesting
Your own contributions are always 100% vested. The full vestment of CFCS's contributions will occur after three years of employment.
Flexible Work Arrangements
CFCS recognizes that some of the most talented staff will not be able to work regular work hours. To be able to acquire such talent we try to incorporate opportunities for flex time, compress the work week and offer part-time work opportunities whenever possible.
Short-Term Disability
The disability program is designed to provide some financial protection if you cannot work due to an illness or injury that is not work related. The disability benefit is only for your illness/injury. Once your request for a medical leave of absence has been approved, while you are unable to work you may receive 60% pay for up to 6 weeks. Approval of any such payments are dependent upon your ability to meet insurance carrier requirements.
Time Off
The agency encourages employees to have balance in their lives. Our time off policy is designed to provide flexibility for you to take time off from work for a variety of reasons including vacation, personal business, holidays and sick days.
Vacation
4 weeks vacation is given annually to all full-time staff between their first year and fifth year. After 5 years 5 weeks is given annually. The hours can rolled over each year to the maximum an employee should earn in any one year. For those staff working less than 35 hours a week the amount of time will be prorated.
Personal Business
3 days are given annually to attend to personal business, appointments etc. These days are not rolled over.
Holidays
The agency provides 11 paid holidays to all regular full-time and qualified part-time employees. Holiday pay is prorated for employees with part-time or alternative work arrangements.
